Edmond Dantes, who escaped from an island prison where he unjustly spent 14 years for treason, returns as the Master of Monte Cristo to seek revenge on the men who betrayed him. The Count of Monte Cristo is the most expensive French film of 2024. guitar, it’s pretty obvious that she doesn’t touch the strings half the time.. Featured in The Big Week: Episode #1.13 (2024). It was very good, it kept the pace of a long film very well. The actors did their job well with the right amount of emotion. I wanted to give it 8*, but I couldn’t. It’s very good but not exceptional. The cinematography is very good, sometimes excellent and adds to the emotion of the story. I disagree with critics who compare the films to the original classic novels. They are two different mediums and both have drawbacks and advantages. It’s worth watching on the big screen. Despite the length of the film, I didn’t see anyone getting bored – like looking at their phone or changing a lot of things.
