Neither of them mentions the wildly popular Christmas movie Love, Actually
Scenario
Helen begins a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is. Caught at a crossroads when her lover falls victim to the dangerous London underworld, Helen’s employer calls on Sam to protect her. There’s a scene where the characters discuss their favorite Christmas movies.
That’s probably because Keira Knightley stars in both movies
I’m not sure what to make of this one. I read all six episodes in one day, and I loved most of them. Anything involving Keira and Ben Whishaw is always going to be watchable.
But there was something that felt off
The writers and producers/directors seemed to be indecisive about what tone they were going for. Was it a straight-up political thriller with action? Or was it a John Wick wannabe action flick with a political twist?
Still very watchable
Ultimately, it was the exact middle ground between the two. I think it would have been much better if it had moved away from the ridiculous John Wick stuff and tried to ground it a little more in the real world, where there were potential consequences for actions taken. No need to waste time endlessly scrolling — here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
